Take off site: ‘Monumen Alaf Baru’, Precinct 2, Putrajaya
Flying area: Height of not more than 1000ft and 5 km radius from take off site
Landing site: There is ample land in Putrajaya that is suitable for landing
I only manage to take pix from the take off site as there is no definite landing site announce. There are a few special shape balloons, such as the elephant (Belgium), peacock(France?), orange (Belgium), clown (Belgium), and Nescafe cup (New Zealand). Malaysia has one of the most uninteresting balloon, being the yellow and black Zeppelin

A small xmas decoration in a small shopping centre. Somehow it attracted lots of people there for some photo session. Perhaps, they are just IKEA shoppers…

Location: 1 Utama, Bandar Utama
It may look interesting from the photos, but it’s actually quite dull at 1U. Finally got the chance to capture some live performance pix, which I’ve missed out in all other shopping centres so far. Kinda odd that the xmas deco is only done at the new wing while the old wing is practically empty. Budget constraint huh…

Location: Mid Valley
It’s circus all around Mid Valley. I have to get there real early to avoid the crowd, especially having them in the photos. Based on many feedbacks, MV xmas deco looses out to Sunway Pyramid and The Curve this year. Lack of WOW or AMAZING feel, it seems.

Location: The Curve, Mutiara Damansara
The theme of fairies definately look more attractive than Sunway Pyramid, especially for the children. I personally like the grass made giant ziraffe, or is it a dinosaur?
There is also a few tall angel-like structure right outside Cineleisure entrance. Each of them seems to hold a different type of music instrument. If I’m not mistaken, you may experience snowflakes session here from 7-8pm.

Date: 07-Dec-2008
Location: Sunway Pyramid
There are 3 different themes:
1. Red Christmas trees (looks ancient) - Pyramid Atrium
2. Clowns - Blue Atrium
3. Santa + Deers - Outdoor area that stretches until Sunway Hotel

Sammi tends to look more on her right when she’s singing, so better get seats on her right for her next concert.

This year’s competition is won by team Spain. It’s not surprising actually but I thought that team Canada did stand a good chance too. Grand finale drew the biggest crowd so far, with my usual tripod spot being fully occupied before 8:00pm. I was hoping that team Australia (last year’s winner) will perform on grand finale, as stated in MIFC official website, but in the end, you get a mixture of fireworks from all participating teams of 2008. Team Malaysia dominated most of the 30 minute show, accompanied by variety of local music.

Evening view of Putrajaya from PICC. The fireworks took place right at the bridge in front
