Fremantle Prison, Perth

This prison is one of the main reason that I took the time to travel from Perth city to Fremantle. Not that I’m a fan of prison or something, but I thought that it could be a place for interesting photos. Some brief history from wiki, Fremantle prison is built in the 1850s, closed as a prison in 1991, and now reopened as a public museum.

The inside of the prison is only accessible through any of these tours:
1. Doing Time Tour - experience daily life of prisoners
2. Great Escapes Tour - discover death row and daring escape attempts
3. Torchlight Tour - night tour with eerie stories of the supernatural
4. Tunnels Tour - journey through underground maze of tunnels

I bought the ticket for both Doing Time Tour and Great Escapes Tour together as the offer is AUD21.00. If you purchase them separately, each tour is AUD16.50.

The exercise yard - prisoners spend their time here playing cards, basketball, tennis and gym. At the far end, a canteen like structure, is a place for lunch

Safety net to prevent any suicide attempt

A semi cone piece of metal to prevent escape through pipe

There was once the prisoners threw a tennis net over the barb wire and climbed over

Anthony FooI like the 1st photo, it really tells me that is a prison. :P the dull colour scheme makes it looks old too.
